Farm unit

We have been working on Mrs. Jump's farm unit. Love all of her units! We did non-fiction writing, used a venn diagram to compare and contrast, graphed and analyzed the data, problem solved, and so much more. I love using themes to teach objectives. Plus, the kids really get into it. Here is what we have been up to. I still have a few more pictures to post so check back soon.

I am loving how this graph turned out! We did this when we returned from our class field trip to the farm. You can download this from my blog here.

Our darling comparison chart. We used this to help us write about pigs and sheep.

The kids created cow glyphs from the questions below.

I love your giant animals!! Do you create them once and laminate them or recreate them every year? Any ideas on how to store things like this {to eliminate wrinkle, etc} would be greatly appreciated! Can't wait to use this next fall...especially the pig graph!!
